Operator and scope
FishingHQ is owned and operated by Venturum LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. This policy covers the FishingHQ iOS and Android apps, related support, and these public policy pages. Contact fishinghqapp@gmail.com.
Age and region
FishingHQ is currently offered only in the United States. It is not directed to children under 13. Users ages 13 through 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Information we process
Depending on your use, FishingHQ processes account and contact details; precise or approximate location; selected waters and map context; trips, catches, species, lures, notes, preferences, searches, and saved items; photos you select; AI prompts, recent conversation context, and outputs; subscription and entitlement records; device, usage, diagnostic, permission, security, and fraud-prevention data; and support, privacy, deletion, bug-report, or feature-suggestion messages.
Purposes
We use information to authenticate accounts; provide fishing maps, conditions, recommendations, identification, planning, logging, assisted features, news, and deal discovery; personalize requested features; verify paid access; answer requests; maintain reliability and security; prevent abuse and fraud; enforce terms; and comply with law and platform requirements.
Location, photos, and assisted features
Location is requested only while you use a feature that needs it. FishingHQ does not request or collect background location. Location and selected-water context can include precise coordinates and may be processed to provide the feature requested. Photos are processed only when you select them for a visual feature; FishingHQ does not scan or upload unselected photos. Prompts, recent conversation context, selected-water details, relevant fishing information, selected photos, and generated responses may be processed to provide AI-assisted features. FishingHQ does not use your prompts, selected photos, or AI-generated responses to train models and does not opt in to AI-provider model training. AI providers may retain and process inputs and outputs for service operation, safety, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or legal compliance under their terms. Do not submit passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information.
Service providers and content sources
FishingHQ uses service providers for account and cloud operations, app-store billing, mapping and location, weather and water information, AI and image analysis, content discovery, and customer support. FishingHQ also displays information from public, licensed, and publisher sources. Only information relevant to a requested feature is provided.
Sharing and tracking
We disclose relevant data to service providers to operate requested features, to Apple or Google for services you select, when required by valid legal process, to protect users and service security, or in a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. FishingHQ does not sell personal information, show third-party ads, or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
Account-backed content is generally retained while the account is active. Operational, diagnostic, security, and fraud-prevention records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes. Support and privacy correspondence is generally retained for up to 24 months unless a longer period is needed for an active request, dispute, security matter, or legal obligation. Transaction records may remain for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. AI inputs and outputs stored with an account follow the account-retention and deletion rules in this policy; copies processed by service providers follow their service-operation, safety, abuse-prevention, and legal retention rules. Information on your device remains until cleared, deleted where applicable, or the app is removed. Backups expire on a rolling schedule.
Your choices and deletion
You can control permissions in device settings, choose what content to submit, manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google, restore purchases, and request access, correction, or deletion through the privacy choices page. Verified in-app account deletion begins immediately; FishingHQ targets completion of app-managed deletion within 30 days after any additional verification. You can also use the public deletion page. Store billing must be canceled separately.
Children, security, and changes
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child used the service. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure. Updates will show a new effective date, with additional notice for material changes when appropriate.
